Dear colleagues

It is our great pleasure and honor to welcome you to The Third International Conference on Advanced Power System Automation and Protection (APAP2009).

The purpose of APAP2009 is to invite the researchers, engineers, and experts in power system automation and protection filed, and to provide an opportunity to share their experiences and knowledge. APAP2009 is specially devoted to the advanced protection and automation technology in power systems, but not limited to. I believe that the conference will establish a clear goal and direction of the researches in this field and make a contribution to develop the protection and automation technology for next-generation power systems.

APAP2009 will be held in beautiful Jeju Island, Korea, which is one of the tourist paradises of the world. Especially, CIGRE study Committee B5 Colloquium 2009 will be jointly held with APAP2009. The APAP2009 registered participants will be invited free to technical sessions of CIGRE SC B5 Colloquium 2009. I believe that you will also have very unique and pleasant experiences from the conference venue during APAP2009. 

We hope that the confernce be successful and enjoyable and be a good opportunity to build a close cooperation channel among the worldwide participants of APAP2009.
