Industry Special Session
In order to lessen the burden of industry engineers in writing a technical paper, Industry Special Session will be organized during the 2009 International Conference on Advanced Power system Automation and Protection (APAP 2009) which is going to be held in the beautiful Jeju Island, Korea during October 18-21, 2009. APAP2009 is devoted to the control, monitoring, diagnosis and protection of power system. CIGRE SC B5 colloquium will be held jointy with APAP2009 and the APAP2009 registered participants will be invited free to the technical session of CIGRE SC B5 colloquium 2009.
Main Features of Industry Special Session of APAP 2009 :
o Objective : Industry Special Session is intended to provide a forum for industry engineers
including utility engineers) to share their real experience and issues regarding the power system
protection and automation through intensive discussion.
o Scope : Industry engineers are encouraged to bring out their field experience on R&D, testing, commissioning, planning, problem-solving, etc. to invoke discussions among participants. Introduction to new technology, new idea and new product is also welcome.
o Preparation : only one to two page-long synopsis in a free format. Please submit it through the http://www.apap2009.org. No extended full paper is required. It will be included in the proceedings CD of APAP2009 without any review.
o Presentation : After classified according to the subject, industry contributions (IC) will be organized into oral industry contributions (IC) session and poster industry contributions (IC) session. For an oral presentation, 2 to 5 minutes are allotted to each presentation and an intensive discussion will be followed after all presentations in each subject.
o Deadline : June 15, 2009
